European Commission approves paediatric extension for berotralstat: the first oral prophylactic treatment available in Europe for children aged 2 to less than 12 years

In Europe, children with hereditary angioedema (HAE) will now have access to an oral prophylactic treatment from the age of two. The European Commission has approved an extension of the indication for berotralstat, already approved in the EU for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older, for the routine prophylaxis of recurrent attacks of HAE in patients aged 2 to less than 12.
