During International Women’s Day, 8 March 2022, Neopharmed Gentili launched its “Non Prenderti Sotto Gamba” project.

This initiative is the result of the company’s commitment to women’s health and well-being and the need to shine a light on what’s become an extremely common condition nowadays, especially among women in Western countries: Chronic Venous Disease (CVD).

In doing so, Neopharmed Gentili wants to communicate the importance of not underestimating things, taking care of oneself, and listening to our body, starting with not ignoring certain alarm bells, such as signs and symptoms of venous insufficiency. While they may only present as negligible aesthetic defects at first, they can later progress and significantly compromise the health of one’s legs.

The site www.nonprendertisottogamba.it went live on 8 March 2022, a web portal rich with information and content on recognizing the symptoms and signs of Chronic Venous Disease (CVD), as well as learning how to manage the various aspects of the disease and how it develops.

New content, articles, and short video interviews with some of the country’s most renowned CVD experts will be published on a monthly basis.

Neopharmed Gentili has also launched a podcast as a tribute to women titled “Non Prenderti Sotto Gamba”, available right now on Spotify.

There are eight episodes in total, with each of them telling the story of a brilliant woman whose intelligence, talents, tenacity and sometimes real heroism, has changed the way we view the world.

After each story, a Chronic Venous Disease expert will provide listeners with advice on how to keep their legs healthy.

The podcast tells the stories of Frida Kahlo, Alda Merini, Coco Chanel, Evita Peron, Maria Callas, Rita Levi Montalcini, Marie Curie and Rosa Parks, eight amazing women to whom we look up to as role models to this day.

Starting within the company, Neopharmed Gentili also organized three days dedicated to awareness and screenings for all female employees (07/03/2022, 11/03/2022 and 18/03/2022).

Through the use of the venous Doppler ultrasound exam of the lower limbs, a vascular surgeon was able to evaluate and assess venous circulation, giving valuable advice on the prevention and treatment of this disease.
